Last Days in London

An adorable old man giving away the "London Evening Standard" :)

Trying to climb the lions in Trafalgar Square.

After a boost from a guy it was a success.

Great day :)

Libbie, Me, and Annie at The Champion pub.

Sitting outside at the Champion Pub in Oxford Circus.

Me with the pirate Angus Barnett from Pirates of the Caribbean at a pub in Oxford Circus! He was a big dork!

Da'Mario's

My roomie Lib and I at our final group dinner at Da'Mario's-an Italian eatery where Princess Diana took William and Harry when they were little :)

Surprisingly my first double-decker ride!

St. Martin in the Fields Cathedral.

Tracie Bennett who was phenomenal as Judy Garland in "End of the Rainbow"!

The set of "End of the Rainbow" absolutely gorgeous!

The "End of the Rainbow" Marquis at Trafalgar Studios.

One night after getting Tracie Bennett's autograph from "End of the Rainbow", we decided to go by the theatre where "Flarepath" was showing with Sienna Miller and well...this is her!

A Beautiful Day in Hyde Park

The sun was out, but the breeze was definitely breezy!

These trees are everywhere; they're called London Planes.

The Albert Memorial

The flowers are so beautiful and perfect right now!

Kisses to everyone :)See you in 2.5 weeks!

The ICE Bar

A few weeks ago, a group of us went to the Ice Bar London right off of Regent's Street in Piccadilly Circus.

They gave us some cute parkas and gloves :)

It was like the ice bar in the James Bond film "Die Another Day" with Halle Berry! (Except we were in parkas, not gowns)

A lamp post in ice!

Absolutely everything was made of ice!

I got a "London Ice Bar" yummm!

It was so much fun, but I was really chilly by the time we left. They only let you in for 40 minutes (I'm assuming so no one gets frostbite/sloshed in a really slippery room).

Brighton Day Trip; a.k.a. Heaven!

As I'm writing this blog, I just got back from the beautiful coastal town of Brighton & Hoves. I'm exhausted and sunburnt, but had a blast!

We took a coach about an hour and a half southwest to the coast of England.

The famous Brighton Pier; it reminds me a lot of what the Santa Monica Pier in California looks like.

The rails along the beach were painted this amazing aqua color-one of my faves :)

An abandoned carousel.

A pinup made of pure chocolate from Choccywoccydoodah!

A replica of the oldest pub in Brighton, originally built in the 1400's, it was burnt down and then replaced with a replica facade, but modern interior.

The pub right next door to The Black Lion called The Cricketers-the original building and interior from the Victorian Period. Upstairs is the Greene Room-named after Graham Greene, author of the novel "Brighton Rock" which has been been made into two films. The most recent is starring Dame Helen Mirren.

A guitar shop at the end of North Laine; a laid back Bohemian area with a ton of unique specialty shops.

Snooper's Paradise: the first and most notable antique store in Brighton, opened in the 1960's!

Graffiti; also known as Street Art in England.

Absolutely amazing! The city of Brighton actually commissions artists to come and paint derelict buildings within the city! How cool!

There were a ton of people walking around and shopping in Brighton today. These little kids were running around the square playing with their balloons :)

The little girl on the left lost hers :(

A crowd gathering to watch it drift away.

:) adorable!

The Royal Pavilion. Built by George, Prince of Wales, the Prince Regent (who later became King) starting in 1787. He first came to Brighton to drink the seawater to heal the swollen glands in his neck as many others did during this time period. He fell in love and built his palace where an old farm house used to sit. It's built in an Indian style with gorgeously decorated interiors.

Spring is in full bloom in London!

Crepe with Nutella and fresh strawberries at the market! soooo delicious!

There was a rally of old mopeds and scooters that went through town. It reminded me of being at home with the smell of snowmobile exhaust :)

The beach was absolutely packed!

Me in front of the legendary Brighton Pier!

The amusement park at the end of the pier!

Cows on the ceiling of Moo Moo's Malt shop :)

The most beautiful day!

The ride that I went on: BOOSTER!

It flung us out over the water and upside down and all around; it was crazy!

Charlie and I getting hurled around!

Getting ready to go!

I may have screamed a few choice words at this point!

Sooo fun!

The boys: Cory, Jamieson, Adam, Jeff, and Jimmy.

My last view of Brighton Beach :)
